Born in Townsend, Montana, Dean Helmick is a dedicated conservative leader, a proud Air Force veteran, and a lifelong advocate for service and community. With 42 years of service in the Air Force, he brings a deep understanding of leadership and public service. His military career spanned both enlisted and officer service before transitioning to a civilian role at Offutt Air Force Base, where he served until his retirement in 2024.
A proven conservative leader, he served as the Cass County GOP Chair and was twice recognized as the NEGOP Outstanding County Chairman for his dedication to strengthening the Republican Party in Nebraska.
Dean holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Montana. As well as Bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science from Bellevue University and also completed the prestigious Senior Executive Fellowship at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Married to his wife, Pam, for 43 years, Dean is a devoted husband, father of two adult children, and proud grandfather of five. He is committed to defending faith, family, and freedom, ensuring Nebraska remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Provide Real Tax Relief & Fight Inflation
Hardworking Nebraskans are being crushed by rising costs and excessive taxes. Dean will fight to lower the tax burden on families, retirees, and small businesses by pushing for responsible spending, property tax relief, and pro-growth policies that keep more money in your pocket. With inflation driving up the cost of everything from groceries to gas, he will work to rein in government overreach and ensure Nebraska families can afford to live, work, and thrive.
Fight Back Against Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration threatens our communities, economy, and national security. Dean will stand with law enforcement to secure our borders, stop sanctuary policies, and hold the federal government accountable for its failures. In Lincoln he will oppose taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants in Nebraska.
Defend Girls & Women
It’s simple, boys are boys and girls are girls. Girls and women should not be forced to compete against or share bathrooms with biological males. Dean will fight to protect women’s and girls’ from radical leftist policies that undermine competition and safety.
Protect Innocent Life
As a pro-life conservative, Dean will always stand for the sanctity of life and work to ensure Nebraska remains a state that defends the unborn and supports mothers. He will fight against taxpayer-funded abortions, work to expand resources for pregnant women, and stand up to radical policies that devalue life.

Dean will never back down in defending your constitutional rights. He will fight against government overreach, censorship, and attacks on the First Amendment, ensuring the protection of free speech, religious liberty, and the right to freely express conservative values. A strong supporter of the Second Amendment, he will stand firm against any attempts to restrict law-abiding citizens’ right to bear arms.
